Here is a quick and easy way to “dress up” broccoli to give it some flavor and crunch.
There are so many different variations of this recipe—for cheese lovers add some freshly shredded parmesan when you take it out of the oven, or if you like spice, add some red pepper flakes.
This really got our little one eating his veggies without any hesitation. The crispy texture of the broccoli and the flavor from the garlic and salt, kick this otherwise “green” and “plain” veggie up a notch!
Preheat oven to 425°F
Ingredients
- 1 Large Bunch of Broccoli
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Instructions
- Cut broccoli into florets.
- Place the broccoli into a large mixing bowl and toss with the olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Put the broccoli onto a large metal baking sheet and put into preheated oven until tender, about 12 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
