Breakfast is such an important part of everyone’s day, and while during the busy work week we tend to just make a quick and easy bowl of cereal or instant oatmeal, we always look forward to weekend breakfasts because they give us the time and opportunity to make and try different things.
Steel-Cut oats are not typical in our home, but we wanted to try something heartier and different than the average bowl of quick oats. Irish-Oats (or Porridge) is simple to make, but takes a bit of cooking time – all well worth the effort. Even Evan, (who is our picky kid-eater and eats a bowl of oatmeal every morning), approves.
