Who doesn’t love a good sweet bread for breakfast or a snack? This is the easiest bread recipe we’ve ever done, and we bet you’ll keep going back to this one after you make it!
Patiently wait in delight, as your home is filled with the glorious smell of fresh baking banana nut bread. Who needs a candle when you have this absolutely delectable aroma of bananas and brown sugar filling the air?
Grab your cup of coffee or your cold glass of milk, and prepare yourself for this ever so slightly sweet, and moist bread.
You can use slightly over ripened bananas for a more prominent sweetness and banana flavor. This is all personal taste bud preference of course.
I used 4 separate mixing bowls. You will also need one 9x5 loaf pan.
Ingredients
- 4 Bananas - Mashed
- 1 3/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 stick Unsalted Butter - Melted
- 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar - Lightly Packed
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tsp Pure Maple Syrup
- 2 small handfuls Halved Walnuts
Instructions
- Prepare Bananas - In separate bowl, remove peels and mash.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients - In separate bowl, combine whole wheat flour and baking soda.
- Prepare Egg Mixture - In separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and maple syrup.
- Prepare Butter Mixture - In separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.
- Combine butter mixture with mashed bananas, then dump in dry ingredients along with egg mixture. Using wooden spoon, combine all ingredients. Add walnuts and mix lightly.
- Pour into a lightly greased 9x5 loaf pan. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes then transfer to cooling rack.
