Alright guys….since we are all should be a little more health conscious, OurCraftyKitchen has decided to begin playing around with easy dinner ideas that are under 500 calories. It can be a difficult thing especially since the taste of food is so important. Going in this direction will not be the primary focus for this food blog, but we will most definitely be including more of it.
Doesn’t that already look spectacular!? There is so much that this dish offers. There’s a hint of spiciness and the texture that the finely chopped almonds provide make this a real treat for dinner.

You will need a medium bowl and two medium plates. Place a large oven proof skillet in oven and pre-heat to 450°F
Ingredients
- 3 Chicken Breasts - Preferably Organic
- 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Almonds - Finely Chopped
- 1 Egg White
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1/4 tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Instructions
- Un-package the chicken and cut the breasts in half.
- Spread flour onto a plate.
- Spread almonds onto a plate.
- In a medium bowl beat the egg white until it foams up.
- On one side of the cut chicken breast, sprinkle cumin, chili, salt and pepper.
- Press the seasoned side of the chicken into the flour then shake off excess.
- Dip the same side into the egg white.
- Press same side into almonds.
- Quickly remove pre-heated pan from oven and brush on a little olive oil.
- Place chicken on pre-heated pan almond side down.
- Place back into oven and cook for about 15 minutes.
